Tamil Merchant in Ancient Mesopotamia

The studies of ancient Mesopotamian mitochondrial genomes have revealed that there is a link between ancient Indian especially tamil traders and ancient Mesopotamian.

The mitochondrial DNA (mt-DNA) match between the tamil people and Mesopotamian this probably shows that the ancient tamil people had kept trade across globally.

The excavated skeleton from middle Euphrates valley has been dated and analysed, in that study the mitochondrial DNA (mt-DNA) that contains a many haplotype but especially the genetic haplotype MK 11G 107 (mt-DNA) is affinities with the people of south Indian Tamilians.

The MK 11G 107 (mt-DNA) absence in other Indian sub-continent region, this indicating the tamil connection with Mesopotamia's.

So, this study exposed the influence of Indian-Tamil merchants to Mesopotamian gene pool during trans-oceanic trade.
